She combines the mediums of acrylics\, gouache\, water colour and graphite on paper or canvas to depict the ever changing views while walking the boardwalk of Cairns Esplanade.\nHer scenes are derived from sketches on site and photos. \nThe beauty of the scenery combined with Rose’s love of daily ritual lead to one of her most recent projects for this series. A daily painting of Cairns Esplanade. Rose took 592 photos of the Esplanade at different times and days\, usually looking out on the fascinating mudflats.\nRose states\, “I felt it a shame not to use these photos and this coupled with my love of intuitive process and games of chance\, I created a daily painting\, roughly A4 size\, combining 5 or 6 photos in the one painting\, using all the paint I had put out each session and working consecutively through the photos.\nThe repetitive process allowed me to explore\, take chances and maintain engagement within these boundaries.”\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n	Dean Vella Painting Titled : Regatta Day\n	$3\,250.00\n\n\n	Dean Vella Painting Titled : Tropical Parrot\n	$1\,800.00\n\n\n	Samantha Hobson. SUMMARY:Lesley Wengembo Impromptu Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Biography\n\n\n\nLesley WengemboBorn 1997 \nFrom Pangia\, Southern Highlands and Bundi\, Madang Province \n26-year-old artist currently based in Cairns \nLesley completed a Bachelor of Fine art at the National Art School of Australia in 2021. \nHe competed four times in the Archibald Prize and was a finalist in the prestigious Brisbane Portrait Prize in 2020. \nHe was raised in the Port Moresby suburb of Morata – which houses one of the city’s largest squatter settlements. Lesley feels it was growing up in this environment that led him to find art. He found painting fascinating as it was the only thing\, he could do to escape his reality. In recent years his work has focused on hyper-realistic portraiture\, mainly capturing indigenous faces dressed in their traditional attire. \nHe says: “as a contemporary indigenous artist\, I try to capture an essence of what is still alive today and is expressed through their faces\, before it dies out” \n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n	Lesley Wengembo Art Portrait Original oil Painting.\n	$880.00\n\n\n	Lesley Wengembo Art Portrait Original oil Painting.\n\n\n	Lesley Wengembo Art Portrait Original Oil Painting.\n\n\n	Lesley Wengembo Art Portrait Original oil Painting.\n	$880.00\n\n\n	Lesley Wengembo Portrait oil Painting.\n	$1\,000.00\n\n\n	Lesley Wengembo Portrait oil Painting.\n	$1\,000.00\n\n\n	Lesley Wengembo Portrait oil Painting.\n	$850.00\n\n\n	Lesley Wengembo Portrait oil Painting.\n	$850.00\n\n\n	Lesley Wengembo Portrait Painting : Highlander in the Moment: SOLD\n\n\n	Lesley Wengembo Portrait Painting. SUMMARY:Samuel Moffat Elegance Exhibition
DESCRIPTION:Elegance Series\nSamuel Moffat in his Elegance art series presents an expressive pictorial presentation of the female nude through various poses and postures. The series “Elegance” was created solely with a palette knife by building up multiple layers of oil paint. \nSamuel’s Bio\nSamuel Moffat is a passionate\, prolific artist who spends most days painting in the Australia.Gallery. \nMuch of Samuel’s adult life has involved sketching\, sculpting and more recently painting. Working in both representational and abstract styles\, he draws ideas from internet sources as well as his ‘minds eye’. \nUltimately\, Samuel’s inspiration stems from his world of numeral patterns and connections which influence his visual outlook. His work often invokes fantasy and Sci-fi influenced by Tolkien\, C. S. Lewis\, Warhammer and Mad Max\, for the allegorical contexts for ‘real’ life\, and Jungian archetype theory combined with the art of the pre- Raphaelites\, Gustav Klimt and Norman Lindsay which further echoes the romantic notion of a lost paradise with whimsical social satire. \nThe music of Maurice Ravel captures and reinforces Samuel’s enthusiastic and subliminal sensations with using oil paint as his expressive medium. \n \n \n \n \n \n \n\n	\n\n\n	1.
