Marlene Young Painting Australian Aboriginal Art

Marlene Young Nungurrayi was born in 1970. Marlene is from Central & Western desert and her tribe is Pintupi. Marlene is married to Adrian Young Tjupurrula. Her father is Tommy Lowry Tjapaltjarri and her adopted father is the famous Doctor George Tjapaltjarri. These family members are all famous artists including Nosepeg Tjupurrula, Fred Ward Tjungurrayi, Turkey Tolson and many others.

Marlene’s Dreaming stories include important women’s dreamings and the body paint designs associated with them. Marlene’s use of thick layers of paint in her artwork.

Marlene has been included in national exhibitions around Australia and her works are in  many collections both in Australia and Worldwide .
