Sharon Adamson is a highly regarded, early-career Australian Aboriginal artist known for her bold and vibrant paintings depicting the Wanampi Tjukurpa (Water Snake Dreaming).
Born in 1995 in Amata, South Australia, within the APY (Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara) Lands, Adamson is part of a distinguished artistic lineage. She is the great-granddaughter of the celebrated artist Tiger Palpatja and paints the same ancestral story as he did.

Wanampi Tjukurpa: Her primary subject is the Water Snake Dreaming, which tells the story of the ancestral beings who bring rain and fill the waterholes critical to the Anangu people, especially the Mutitjulu waterhole at Uluru.
Style and Technique: Adamson’s paintings are characterized by their “fearless brush strokes and invigorating palettes” of bright, fluid colors. Her work often presents a topographical view of the land, showcasing creek beds and rockholes.
Career and Recognition: Despite her young age, Sharon  has exhibited widely in Australia and internationally, including solo shows at galleries. Her art is featured in numerous private collections and the Artbank Collection.
